"Audiocentesis is a two man, heavy industrial dance project hailing from St. Paul, Minnesota.Combining elements of Aggrotech, Harsh EBM, Industrial, Dark Electro, Drum and Bass and Techno.. but subscribing to no single genre title, Audiocentesis forges an aggressive style all its own, seamlessly intertwining hellish screams, deeply personal lyrics, pounding rhythms, scathing synths and haunting melodies. The dual song crafting of members Jormungandr and Zeta has developed over the course of many years, but it wasn’t until the year 2010 that the Audiocentesis sound was fully realized, the name chosen, its intended course set. Zeta’s extensive musical background started in the St Paul Drum and Bass scene, writing, promoting, and performing his dark compositions all over the United States. In 2004, a chance encounter with Jormungandr would signal a new beginning, exploring more Industrial sounds. Jormungandr, a rabid fan of extreme metal, also hails from the St Paul area. Fresh on the heels of the dissolution of his thrash metal band, in which he performed as bass player, he was eager to explore new musical possibilities while expanding and establishing his own identity as a musician and a songwriter. Zeta proved to be an essential catalyst in this process, initiating him into the world of Harsh Electro music with a multitude of pioneering bands of the genre. As their friendship grew, so did their desire to explore this new musical territory. Their collaboration began with the goal of creating their own voice and style, made up of their own respective influences. The stage was set. Six years and a plethora of personal hardships later, the duo was finally ready to fully realize not only their individual sound and style, but the intimidating and genre bending onslaught they could create together. The name Audiocentesis was created to be the home where their destructive creations would come to realization. The time for ascension has come."-(https://www.facebook.com/Audiocentesisofficial/info)
